On April 10, 2026, a roundtable discussion was held on the topic “The Contribution of Higher Education Institutions to the Achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.”
The event was organized by the Economic Research Institute (Kazakhstan) and the United Nations Office in Kazakhstan (United Nations Kazakhstan).

During the meeting, representatives from more than 90 higher education institutions across the country discussed current issues, exchanged views, and shared best practices. The interactive format of the discussion fostered open dialogue, a lively exchange of experiences, and the development of new ideas.
The event took place in a businesslike yet dynamic atmosphere, highlighting the importance of universities’ contribution to achieving sustainable development goals and strengthening inter-university cooperation.
