The event was organized by the Department of International Cooperation and In-ternationalization in collaboration with the Departments of Foreign Languages and Translation Studies and Kazakh Language and Literature. It brought together national and international scholars to discuss current issues in modern linguistics, translation studies, and intercultural interaction.
The Round table was attended by leading scholars and experts from Australia, Spain, the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Russian Federation, including the Republic of Buryatia. Invited speakers represented the University of Granada, Siberian Federal University, Dorzhi Banzarov Buryat State University, Herzen State Peda-gogical University of Russia, as well as Osh Technological University named after M.M. Adyshev.
In addition, the Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation of EAGI, Professor Samat Amangeldinovich Eskaliyev, took part in the event, highlighting its institutional significance.
The event was moderated by Professor S.A. Meiramova, Director of the Depart-ment of International Cooperation and Internationalization at EAGI, and Profes-sor V.A. Razumovskaia of Siberian Federal University.
The Round table was conducted in a hybrid format — both offline and online — which expanded the geographical reach of participants and facilitated active aca-demic dialogue.
The discussions focused on cultural transfer, the features of polyculturalism, in-teraction between languages and cultures, as well as the role of translation as a key tool of intercultural communication in the context of globalization. Partici-pants emphasized that translation is not only a linguistic process but also a cru-cial means of conveying cultural meanings and values.
The Round table served as an important platform for knowledge exchange, strengthening international cooperation, and developing the Institute’s academic partnerships.
The event confirmed the high level of scientific activity at EAGI and its commit-ment to integration into the international educational and research community.
