Under the guidance of senior lecturer A. M. Sarsenova, students of academic group SHT-23-03 have been undergoing teaching practice at Gymnasium № 32 in Astana since January 19, 2026. During their practice, they attend lessons taught by subject teachers, as well as classes taught by other trainees in their assigned classes.
Particular attention is paid to the effective assimilation of theoretical and practical material, clear and accessible explanations of topics, increasing student interest and activity, the use of visual and didactic materials, and the organization of pair and group work.
Interactive presentations, videos, handouts, interactive whiteboards, and various educational platforms are used in the learning process. Motivational and developmental methods such as dodecahedron, flashlight, spider’s net, sandwich, umbrella, four hats, speaking phone, verbal support, the ladder, and vocabulary builder are widely used in the lessons. In addition, speech exercises, brainstorming, and feedback are organized.
Students actively participate in the teacher’s daily activities: they check notebooks, work with low-achieving students, conduct formative and summative assessments, and fill out an electronic journal. After each lesson, an analysis is conducted and feedback is provided.
During the internship, students consolidate their theoretical knowledge, develop lesson delivery skills, and learn how to communicate professionally with students.
