The round table “Artistic translation is significant for the cultural inheritance of the country within the program Рухани жангыру

On 9 November 2018 in the Eurasian Humanities Institute there was held ‘the round table’: “Artistic translation is significant for the cultural inheritance of the country within the program Рухани жангыру”, the organizer of which was the Association of professional translators and translation companies.

Prorector on the educational work of the Eurasian Humanities Institute CPSc, Professor Ya.N. Ospanova and the Head of the EAGI Department of foreign languages CPSc, Docent L.V. Volkova addressed the audience with the greeting words.

In the work of the seminar there took part: the CPh.Sc., Professor S.B. Zagatova, the teacher of the EAGI Department of foreign languages, Director of the translation company “Gala Translations”, the founder of the Kazakhstani Academy of translation/interpretation K.E. Aliyeva, Deputy Docent of the Department of General Linguistics and Theory of Translation of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU, the Chairperson of the Association A.M. Toleubayeva; Docent of the Department of foreign languages of the Yassky University named after A.I. Kuzy Oan Kozhanu (Yassy, Rumania); Candidate of Science, the member of the Association of the teachers of translation T.P. Shvets (St Petersburg, Russia),PhD, Professor of the Sofia university, the translator David James Mossop (Sofia, Bulgaria).

The listeners of the seminar among whom there were the members of the Association of professional translators, the teachers and students of EAGI and other educational institutions of the city took an active part in the discussion and asked the speakers different questions.

The work of the seminar was quite productive; the members of the Association of professional translators made up the plan and marked the perspectives of further collaboration with EAGI.
