A solemn event devoted to the Victory Day took place in EAGI

On April 29 of 2016 a solemn event dedicated to the celebration of the 71 anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held at the Institute.

The purpose of this event was education of patriotism, citizenship, respect for the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, love of country and respect for the older generation. Prorector on educational and scientific work, doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor K. A. Akhmetov delivered a congratulatory speech.

Candidate of Historical Sciences, associate professor M. M. Dzhanpeisova gave a report dedicated to this remarkable date.

Video and photo materials reflecting that difficult time period were presented during the event; poetic works were read that conveyed the feelings and thoughts of every soldier and every mother and women who had distinguished themselves with their heroism and bravery. Students of different specialties performed on stage with a concert program for students and staff of the Institute.

A great number of documentary and historical films were made about the war, many songs and poems were composed. Thanks to this information we can see and hear the whole brutal truth about the Great Patriotic War.
