Discussion of the article of the Head of the state N.A. Nazarbayev “Look into the Future: modernization of social consciousness”

On 17 April 2017 the expanded meeting of the Academic Council with the participation of the teaching staff, employees and the students devoted to the discussion of the article of the Head of the state N.A. Nazarbayev “Look into the Future: modernization of social consciousness” took place.

The first Prorector of the Eurasian Humanities Institute, Candidate of psychological Science, Professor Issmayilov Amangheldy Dzhaksylikovich. In his welcome speech he marked that the article of the Head of the state N.A. Nazarbayev “Look into the Future: modernization of social consciousness” appealed much to the Kazakhstani people: “The President draws our attention to the formation of the historical consciousness, as far as without it we will not be able to strengthen the foundations of the state and to maintain our spaciousness. The programme which is a new ideological platform of the country development is represented in this article. All the six directions of the spiritual modernization are directed to the support and successful realization of the earlier adopted long-term social-economic programmes. The accent has been put on the modernization of education and maintenance of the cultural-moral values as a main priority and direction of the perspective development of Kazakhstan. The President also marks that in the system of values education will become the main one taking into account the role of the cult of knowledge that should be universal”.

Prorector K.A. Ahmetov in his address to the audience spoke of the main points of the article of the Head of the state: “The world starts for a new historical cycle. That is why it is important to concentrate on and get adapted to the new conditions taking the best from the new epoch. It is important to develop and achieve those set tasks in economy about which the President writes, and the main aim is, certainly, to enter the number of highly developed progressive countries of the modern world. And this is possible only in the society where the spiritual values and priorities will be rightly and correctly placed”.

In their speeches Mukazhanov K.M., Professor of the Department of the State-Law Disciplines, Tazhbenova G.D., the Head of the Economic and Mathematical Disciplines, Kokisheva N.M., the Head of the Department of the Kazakh and Russian Philology, Abylhanova B.K., the senior teacher of the Department of Pedagogy supported the main directions of the spiritual modernization suggested by the Head of the state N.A. Nazarbayev – competitiveness of our nation, pragmatism, maintenance of the national identity, the cult of knowledge, the evolutional development of Kazakhstan and the openness of consciousness, that are the reformation innovations in the spiritual sphere of Kazakhstan..

On behalf of the student Youth committee the student of the specialty ”Translation Major” Yergaziyev T. and the student of the specialty””The Kazakh Language and Literature” Kuanova N. addressed the audience: “ We, the representatives of the student youth, consider that the smooth and staged transition

to the Latin alphabet is necessary for increasing the competitiveness and development of our country because the Latin alphabet is used now practically in the whole world”. The students paid a special attention to the issues of continuous education, self-education that allows reacting to the challenges on the contemporary labor market.

Thus, the teaching staff of the Eurasian Humanities Institute have supported the article of the Head of the state N.A. Nazarbayev and will do the utmost for achieving the goals set by the President.
