A Week of foreign languages was held in EAGI
From 18.04.16 to 26.04.16 a “Week of foreign languages” was conducted at the Department of Foreign Languages. Three nominations were announced for the competition program:
- A thematic poster in a foreign language;
- A creative performance (theatrical, dancing, song);
- A poetic act in a foreign language.
First-, second- and third-year students presented posters, many of which addressed several themes such as “The 25th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan” and “The Week of foreign languages”.
Creative performances of first-, second- and third-year students, who participated in the concert, also showed the versatility and an interesting approach to the presentation of their works.
Senior students performed not only in English but also in German, French and even Chinese. First-year students also pleasantly surprised us with the knowledge of languages and boldness of performances. Diplomas and prizes were awarded according to the results of the competition.
In the nomination “The Best artistic performance” diplomas were given to:
- The students of group ПД-14-02 with their performance “10 interesting facts about Germany” in German language.
- The students of group ПД-14-01 with their fairy tale in German.
- The students of groups ИЯСК-15-01 and ИЯСК-14-01 with a performance of “A passage from a Russian fairy tale” in two languages (English and Russian).
In the nomination “The Best humorous performance in English” a diploma was given to the group ПД-15-02.
In the nomination “The Best dance” a diploma was given to the group ИЯС-14-01.
And two first-year students’ groups received diplomas in the nomination “The Best musical performance”: the groups ИЯК-15-02 and ПДК-15-01. Both groups made performances, where the participants presented both a dance and a song.
Students received their diplomas and prizes. The judges of the contest, under the chairmanship of the Head of the Department of Foreign Languages, Candidate of Pedagogical Science, Docent Volkova L. V., noted the performance of the first- and second-year students from groups ИЯСК-15-01 and ИЯСК-14-01 for their striking and emotional performance.
