Competition «Қазақ қызы» held in Astana for the first time

On 14 November 2016 the competition «Қазақ қызы» was held at the S. Seifullin Agro-technical University in Astana city

Before the final competition there was held some events and as a result only 25 girls were selected from 125 candidates. The girls aged from 16 to 29 could take part at the competition. The Eurasian Humanities Institute represented 5 participants.

As the Kazakh proverb says:”If you want to bring up a nation – bring up a daughter, if you want to keep a generation bring up a son. That means that the Kazakh daughter is the future of the nation.

During the whole competition the girls demonstrated their skills of the house ladies (preparing meals and sewing), competed in the knowledge of Abay’s words and also showed their vocal, dancing and artistic abilities.

On the results of the five final stages of the competition Zhanerke Tynyshbayeva was nominated as «Инабатты кыз», Arailym Sovetzhan – «Өнерлі қыз», Zumrat Kairullayeva – «Ісмер», Aiym Daut – «Зерделі», Gauhar Kishirbayeva – «Тіл шебері». The title of a real «Қазақ қызы» was given to Dana Yelamanova.
