International Translators’ Day

On 27 September in EAGI there was held a concert devoted to the International Day of Translators/Interpreters. This event was organized by the Department of foreign languages.

The students of the 1st – 3rd courses of the educational programs “Translation Major” and “Foreign language: two foreign languages” took part in this event. They represented the audience creative musical and drama performances, creative wall newspapers. One of the nominations was translating the text from fiction from the foreign language (English, French, German and Chinese) into the Kazakh and Russian languages. The students were awarded with Diplomas for the active participation.The jury was represented by Docent Alima Ukubayevna Ilyasova, PhD Nurgheldy Akat, Morgan Graves, the volunteer who is responsible for the club of the English language.

Prorector on the educational work Professor Yaroslava Nikolayevna Ospanova made a speech of gratitude for the conducted event and congratulated everybody on the holiday on behalf of the Institute administration.
