Open Lesson on the theme “The Earth is Dearer than Gold”

On 25 November the senior teacher of the Department of foreign languages Demidkova N.I. conducted an open lesson on the theme: «The Earth is dearer than gold» in group ИЯ-18-01. The lesson was directed to the development of communicative skills of the students. At the lesson the students had the opportunity to discuss the global environmental problems among which the most urgent ones were: changing of the Earth climate, destruction of the ozone layer, pollution, etc. Besides, the students watched the Video film of the popular TV channel «Ted talks». This channel gives the students the opportunity to listen to the authentic speech and enrich the vocabulary of the studied language. The students took an active part in the discussion, expressed their own points of view on the problem and fulfilled the assignments on the studied theme enthusiastically.
