Round table at the National Academic Library

On November 18, 2022, the round table was held at the National Academic Library of Astana with the participation of the Norwegian scientist, professor at the Peace Research Institute in Oslo, editor-in-chief of the Sirkel Forlag publishing house Oshild Kulos, who translated Abay Kunanbayuly’s “Words of Edification” into Norwegian. The event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Norway, the National Academic Library of Astana. The round table was moderated by the senior lecturer of the Kazakh and Russian Philology Department of the Eurasian Humanities Institute, Master of Philology Bayangali Galymzhanov. At the round table, each guest reflected on the works of Abay Kunanbayuly, expressed his opinion, asked the Norwegian scientist questions, and a comprehensive dialogue on translation took place. In addition, the musician Bakhtalant Ulukpanovich performed the songs of Abay.
