The work to clarify the draft amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On May 23, 2022, meeting was held at the Eurasian Humanities Institute to discuss the draft amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which are submitted to a referendum. The speakers were: acting Rector, c.ps.sc., Professor Issmailov A.D., Vice-Rector for Academic and Scientific Work, Doctor of History, Professor Akhmetov K.A., Vice-Rector for Educational Work, c.ps.sc., Professor Ospanova Ya. N., Deputy Director of the EAGI College for educational work Ospanova A. B., Head of the Department of Legal Disciplines, c.j.sc., Professor Ydyryssov K. Z., as well as student representatives: members of the Academic Council Karim I. and Shukhanov R.  The proposal to amend the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan was announced by President K.K. Tokayev in his Address to the people in March 2022. The changes will affect more than 30 articles of the Constitution.

Speaking about the role of the Constitution in the development of the country, the participants of the meeting noted the importance of the constitutional reform in building a new Kazakhstan.
