Ospanova Yaroslava Nikolaevna

Ospanova Ya.N. graduated from Akmola University named after S. Seifulin, in 2003 she graduated from the postgraduate course at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov. In 2005, she completed an internship at Columbia University (New York, USA).

She began her professional career in 1998 as the Chairperson of the Youth Affairs Committee, then Deputy Dean for Educational Work of the Pedagogical Faculty of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. From 2007 to 2008 she was the Deputy Director for Educational Work of the Kazakh-Russian University, from 2008 to 2012 she  was the Director of the Center for Educational and Social Work of the Eurasian Humanities Institute. Ya.N. Ospanova is the author of educational and teaching aids and of more than 100 scientific publications.

Since 2012, she has been working as a Vice-Rector for educational work. Ospanova Ya.N. is responsible for organizing and coordinating extracurricular activities of students, forming an educational environment, supporting student initiatives, social and psychological assistance, distributing places and ensuring living conditions for students in the dormitory, as well as preventing negative phenomena in the student environment, for patriotic and civic education.

For her contribution to the development of the educational system of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ya. N. Ospanova was awarded the badges of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, “Y. Altynsarin”, and was repeatedly awarded letters of gratitude from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Department for Combating Drug Crime of the Police Department of Astana, and the Youth Congress of Kazakhstan. In 2005, she was awarded the title of “Social Innovator of Kazakhstan” within the framework of the First Republican Competition “TANYLU” for NGO leaders.
