On August 17, 2026 Astana hosted the traditional August Forum of Teachers of Astana on the theme “Strategic Development of the Education System: Constitutional Values, Artificial Intelligence and Human Capital.”
The Forum served as an important professional platform for discussing current issues in education, identifying priority areas for the professional development of teachers, and examining the prospects for the strategic development of the education system ahead of the new academic year.
During the plenary session, speeches were delivered by Akim of Astana Kassymbek Zhenis Makhmuduly, Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhuldyz Dosbergenkyzy Suleimenova, Head of the Astana City Department of Education Kassymkhan Sengazyuly Sengaziyev, as well as prominent researchers and educators. The speakers highlighted key trends and priority tasks in the development of modern education.
Particular attention during the Forum was paid to the modernization of the education system, promoting constitutional values among the younger generation, effectively integrating artificial intelligence into the educational process, developing teachers’ digital competencies, and strengthening human capital.
In the context of the rapid development of artificial intelligence and digital technologies, the education sector is gaining new opportunities while facing new challenges. In this regard, the participants discussed the effective use of modern technologies to improve the quality of education, the adaptation of the teacher’s professional role to new conditions, as well as the development of students’ creative and critical thinking, digital skills, and other competencies in demand.
The Forum also addressed the role of educational institutions in ensuring sustainable development, fostering civic responsibility among young people, and providing quality education and upbringing based on a harmonious combination of national and universal human values.
S.A. Eskaliyev, Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation of the A.K. Kussayinov Eurasian Humanities Institute, took part in the Forum.
The August Forum provided an effective platform for identifying new priorities in education and facilitating the exchange of experience among teachers, heads of educational institutions, experts, and representatives of the academic and pedagogical community.
The event marked an important step toward improving the quality of education, strengthening the professional potential of teachers, and creating a modern educational environment capable of responding to current challenges and the demands of a rapidly changing world.
