Discussion forum: “Personal choice: right or social pressure?”

On February 17, 2026, the Department of Pedagogy and History organized a discussion forum for academic groups T-25-01 and T-25-02 on the topic “Personal choice: right or social pressure?”

During the discussion, topical and pressing issues were raised, such as forced marriage, stalking, and the line between care and control. Participants formed a critical view of problems that often go unnoticed in society. The students emphasized that stalking is not a “temporary interest” but an action that poses a direct threat to personal freedom and psychological safety.

At the end of the discussion, the participants came to a consensus that personal choice is an inalienable human right, and that traditions and expressions of care should not go beyond personal boundaries.
