As part of Foreign Language Week, the academic groups SHT-23-02, SHT-23-03, and SHT-23-04 held a cultural quiz on the topic “Great Britain: History, Culture, and Literature” under the guidance of their advisors, senior lecturers A. M. Sarsenova and S. M. Sultanova.
The aim of the event was to increase students’ motivation to study foreign languages, literature, traditions, and the culture of the countries where those languages are spoken.
The quiz consisted of five sections: General Information, History, Famous People, Culture, and Literature.
The students successfully completed the tasks and demonstrated a good knowledge of the history, culture, and traditions of Great Britain.
At the conclusion of the quiz, the participants noted the importance of studying the English language. The students showed interest in the country of the target language, and the atmosphere at the event was friendly.
