This page provides all the essential information for international applicants seeking admission to EAGI, including admission requirements, the list of required documents, the application procedure, and the specifics of studying in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
International applicants may submit their application documents throughout the year. Tuition is offered on a fee-paying basis.
Foreign citizens holding the Qandas status are eligible to participate in the competition for state educational grants, provided they submit the required supporting documents.
Applicants who hold a Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) or a Permanent Residence Permit (PRP) in the Republic of Kazakhstan are admitted on a fee-paying basis.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The admission of international applicants is conducted online.
At the first stage, applicants upload electronic copies of the required documents through the online admissions portal. After successfully completing the admission procedure, receiving an official invitation, and arriving in the Republic of Kazakhstan, applicants must submit the original documents.
The translation of documents, notarization, recognition (nostrification) of foreign educational documents, and the required medical examination are carried out in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Applicants are advised to prepare all required documents in both paper and electronic formats in advance.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR ADMISSION
To apply for a Bachelor’s degree program, applicants must submit the following documents:
- an application for admission (completed through the online admissions system);
- a copy of the passport;
- a notarized translation of the passport into Kazakh or Russian, certified by a notary of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- an educational certificate or diploma together with its transcript (supplement);
- a notarized translation of the educational certificate or diploma and its transcript into Kazakh or Russian, certified by a notary of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Important! The applicant’s passport must remain valid for at least 12 months from the beginning of the academic year.
DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED AFTER ARRIVAL IN THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN
After being admitted and arriving in the Republic of Kazakhstan, an international student must submit the following:
- the original copies of all documents submitted during the admission process;
- a bank statement confirming the availability of sufficient financial resources (at least USD 2,000);
- a document confirming the submission of the foreign educational qualification for recognition (nostrification);
- Medical Certificate (Form No. 075/y);
- Vaccination Record (Form No. 063);
- fluorography (chest X-ray) examination results;
- a certificate confirming HIV testing;
- a medical insurance policy valid for at least one year;
- an educational services agreement;
- three passport-sized photographs (3 × 4 cm).
IMPORTANT
Applicants are strongly advised to prepare electronic copies (high-quality scanned versions) of all required documents in advance.
The translation, notarization, and recognition (nostrification) of foreign educational documents are carried out after arrival in the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The admission process for international applicants at EAGI is conducted in both online and on-campus formats. At the initial stage, applicants submit electronic copies of the required documents and, if necessary, attend an interview. After receiving a positive admission decision, they travel to the Republic of Kazakhstan to complete the enrollment procedure.
Do I Need a Visa to Enter the Republic of Kazakhstan?
In most cases, a visa is not required for short-term entry to the Republic of Kazakhstan, as Kazakhstan has visa-free agreements with many countries. Depending on your country of citizenship, you may stay in Kazakhstan without a visa for 14, 30, or 90 days. During this period, you can have your documents notarized, submit them to the university, and attend an interview if required.
To continue your studies, you will subsequently need to obtain a student visa.
To comply with the migration legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, every international student is required to notify the International Students Office of their arrival in Kazakhstan within two calendar days from the date of crossing the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Recognition (Nostrification) of Foreign Educational Documents
Educational qualifications obtained abroad are subject to the recognition (nostrification) procedure in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The following documents are generally required for the recognition procedure:
- passport;
- educational certificate or diploma;
- transcript (supplement) to the educational document;
- notarized translation;
- completed application form.

Medical Documents
Upon arrival in the Republic of Kazakhstan, an international student must obtain the following medical documents:
- Medical Certificate (Form No. 075/y);
- Vaccination Record (Form No. 063);
- fluorography (chest X-ray) examination results;
- a certificate confirming the absence of HIV infection;
- a valid medical insurance policy.
All medical documents must be issued by medical institutions in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Receiving an Invitation Letter
After the submitted documents have been successfully reviewed and a positive admission decision has been made, EAGI will send the international applicant:
- an official invitation letter;
- an educational services agreement;
- instructions for the subsequent stages of document processing.
Obtaining a Student Visa
To obtain a student visa, an international applicant must apply to the diplomatic mission or consular office of the Republic of Kazakhstan in their country of residence.
The following documents are generally required:
- an invitation letter;
- a valid passport;
- a completed visa application form;
- a photograph;
- any additional documents required by the Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Commencement of Studies
Studies begin after the applicant has:
- obtained a student visa (if required);
- arrived in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- submitted the original documents;
- completed the required migration procedures;
- signed the educational services agreement and paid the tuition fees.
Tuition Fees
The tuition fee depends on the selected academic program.

Registration of International Students
After arriving in the Republic of Kazakhstan, every international student must complete the required migration registration procedures in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The specialists of the EAGI International Cooperation Department provide consultation and assistance regarding the registration and legal stay of international students.
Obtaining an Individual Identification Number (IIN)
International students are advised to obtain an Individual Identification Number (IIN), which is required for:
- opening a bank account;
- obtaining medical insurance;
- accessing government services;
- completing other administrative procedures.
The IIN is issued at the Public Service Centers (PSCs).
Medical Insurance
Throughout the period of study, every international student must hold a valid medical insurance policy issued in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
