OUTGOING INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH INTERNSHIP FOR EAGI STAFF AND FACULTY
An outgoing international research internship is an opportunity for EAGI staff and faculty members to undertake scientific and research training at foreign universities, research centers, laboratories, and other specialized organizations with the aim of developing professional and research competencies, establishing international research connections, preparing joint publications, and implementing international projects.
The internship may be undertaken within international and national funding programs, as well as at the participant’s own expense or with financial support from the host organization.
Who can participate?
The international research internship is open to:
- faculty members;
- research staff;
- administrative and other Institute staff whose professional activities are related to professional or research development;
- staff members involved in ongoing research projects and grants.
Funding options
Participants may independently choose an appropriate source of funding for their internship. An international research internship may be undertaken with a scholarship, grant, grant funding, or other form of financial support.
- International programs and scholarships
EAGI staff and faculty members may participate in international academic and research mobility programs, including but not limited to: Erasmus+; TÜBİTAK; COST; Türkiye Scholarships (Türkiye Bursları); Bolashak; DAAD; international research grants and scholarships offered by foreign universities and research organizations; other international programs providing funding for research or academic mobility.
The main requirement is that the participant independently obtains the relevant scholarship, grant, or other form of funding and complies with the requirements of the respective program.
- Research grants of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Faculty members and research staff may also undertake international research internships within their ongoing research projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

- Funding from the host organization
The internship may be funded by the host foreign university, research center, laboratory, international organization, or other partner organization.
In this case, the participant must obtain an official invitation letter from the host organization specifying the dates, objectives, internship program, and funding arrangements.
- Self-funding
A staff member may also undertake an international research internship at their own expense.
In this case, the trip must be agreed upon with the Institute in advance, and the participant must provide documents confirming the purpose and program of the stay.

If the internship host organization has already been identified, the following documents must be provided:

- An internship program or research plan specifying the objectives, dates, and main activities;
- A copy of the passport;
- Information about the source of internship funding;
