On September 24, 2026, an evening event featuring mashkhurologist, poet, philologist, and professor Bayangali Galymzhanuly took place at the Central Children’s and Youth Library of the “Centralized Library System,” a municipal state institution under the Astana City Administration. Students from groups KT-24-01, KTT-24-01, and KT-23-01 of the “Kazakh Language and Literature” educational program at the A.K. Kussayinov Eurasian Humanities Institute participated in the cultural event.
The purpose of the event—as part of the “Reading Nation” project—was to inspire a love of reading among young people, introduce them to the poet’s life and work, facilitate a meaningful discussion, and contribute to the development of an intellectually advanced nation.
During the meeting, students asked questions about the field of Mashkhur studies. Institute faculty members L.N. Daurenbekova and E.B. Sultan shared important information about the life and work of Mashkhur Zhussup Kopeyuly. In addition, library staff members A.S. Ospanova and Zh.A. Usenova presented the students with a three-volume collection of Mashhur Zhusup Kopeyuly’s works from the institute’s library collection, as well as the works «Mashhur-tanu Belesteri» by E. Zhusipova and «Mashhur-Zhusip and the Spirit of the East» by E. Zhusipova, recommending them for reading.
This informative meeting helped spark young people’s interest in the national literary heritage and served as an important event aimed at promoting reading and a deeper understanding of spiritual values.
