LOCAL AKIMAT GRANTS



The Akimat of Astana has allocated state-funded educational grants to A.K. Kussayinov Eurasian Humanities Institute for the 2026 admission campaign to train specialists in the following teacher education programs:

Applications are accepted based on the results of the Unified National Testing (UNT) conducted between 10 May and 10 July 2026, provided that applicants have obtained scores not lower than the established minimum threshold.

For applicants with general secondary education, the minimum passing score is 75 points. Applicants must obtain at least 5 points in the History of Kazakhstan and each of the two specialized UNT subjects, as well as at least 3 points in Reading Literacy and Mathematical Literacy.

For applicants with technical and vocational education (TVE), the minimum passing score is 35 points, including at least 5 points in each UNT subject.

Successful applicants are provided with a monthly scholarship, tuition-free higher education, and guaranteed employment in the city of Astana upon graduation.

Key Provisions on the Procedure for Conducting the EAGI Rector’s Grant Competition

  1. The competition shall be conducted online using Google Formsor a similar platform without public disclosure of the results.
  2. The test questions and test results shall be treated as confidential information accessible only to the Customerand the Contractor.
  3. Based on the test results, the winner of the competition shall be awarded the Rector’s Grant of A.K. Kussayinov Eurasian Humanities Institute (EAGI).
  4. The second- and third-place winners shall be awarded 50%and 25% tuition fee discounts, respectively.
  5. The Rector’s Grant and tuition fee discounts shall be granted for a period of one academic semester (six months).
  6. To extend the validity of the grant or tuition fee discount after the first semester and each subsequent semester, the student must obtain only goodand excellent grades in the examination session.
  7. In the event that two or more participants receive the same score, oral questions based on the core subject curriculum shall be asked during the award ceremony to determine the winner.
  8. The Rector’s Grant and tuition fee discounts shall be awarded only if the applicant is personally present at the winners’ award ceremony.
  9. The competition test questions may be developed in consultation with EAGI academic staff.
  10. The competition registration form, including information about the Institute, shall be published repeatedly in our UNT preparation communities, whose subscribers include prospective applicants from all regions of Kazakhstan.
  11. Representatives of EAGI may monitor the competition to ensure the transparency of the competition process.
  12. To conduct the competition, it is necessary to publish the registration link on the official EHI website or through the official EAGI social media accounts.
  13. Registration for participation in the competition shall be opened within three daysafter the contract has been signed.
  14. The first stageof the competition may be held on 21–22 August 2026. The second stage and the announcement of the results shall take place during a Zoom conference on 24 August 2026 at 11:00 a.m. (Astana time).
  15. All applicants who have achieved the minimum UNT passing score for their chosen educational program for the 2026–2027 academic yearmay participate in the competition, provided that the combination of specialized subjects in their UNT certificate corresponds to the chosen program. Applicants who have already received another educational grant before the second stage of the competition are not eligible.
  16. The awarded grant may be used for admission to any bachelor’s degree programoffered by the Institute, provided that the applicant’s specialized UNT subjects correspond to the admission requirements of the selected program.
  17. Graduates whose scores in the specialized subjects are equal to or higher than the minimum threshold established by the National Testing Centershall be eligible to participate in the competition.

 

TUITION DISCOUNTS AT EAGI



  • 20% tuition discountfor orphans.
  • 10% tuition discountfor persons with Group I or Group II disabilities and persons with disabilities since childhood.
  • 10% tuition discountfor one student when two or more members of the same family are studying at EAGI simultaneously.
  • 5% tuition discountfor graduates of the EAGI Higher College throughout the entire period of study.
  • Every applicant may participate in the Rector’s Educational Grant Competitionbased on their Unified National Testing (UNT) Certificate and admission documents (for full-time study only).
  • EHI offers a flexible tuition payment system, allowing tuition fees to be paid monthly, quarterly, or in other convenient instalments.
