In the World of Knowledge

As part of Career Exploration Week for first-year students, the library organized a guided tour and informational sessions explaining the rules for using library services and electronic resources.

During individual and group sessions held in the library’s conference room, students were shown a presentation on ongoing cultural and public events, reference and bibliographic services aimed at developing and promoting a culture of reading, the use of digital technologies in the educational process, as well as the library’s comprehensive collection of textbooks, non-fiction, and fiction publications.

Library staff members E. D. Bekbulatova and A. S. Ospanova provided participants with a detailed explanation of the procedures for filling out the reader registration form and obtaining a library card.

The students, who arrived accompanied by their advisors, mentors, and class representatives from 17 groups—a total of 541 participants—were interested in questions regarding the use of assistive technology, communication tools, and the internet, as well as the latest printed materials in their languages of instruction.

I would especially like to acknowledge the dedication and efficiency of the advisors A. Z. Eslamova, B. Erlanqyzy, A. Meyramova, Zh. Almukhametova, and A. Sakenqyzy, as well as the mentors Aziza Kalumkulova, Ajazhan Medilhanova, and Vladislav Vaskovsky (IYA 24-01) in organizing the library visit.

Given the growing competitiveness in the labor market, the modern educational environment demands specialists with a high level of education and skills in using artificial intelligence. Taking into account users’ current needs for information and reference services, the library has created a welcoming and comfortable environment for aesthetic enjoyment, learning, and work, as well as for providing modern library services in the reading rooms and circulation desk areas.
